A real estate slowdown appears well underway, as home resales fell by 8.2 per cent in June compared to May, the Canadian Real Estate Association said Thursday.
“The housing market is becoming more challenging for sellers,” CREA president George Pahud said.

OTTAWA — After months of sales and price increases and even bidding wars for the most desirable properties, calm has returned to the Ottawa real estate market.
Sales of existing homes fell nearly 15 per cent in June from a year earlier, the Ottawa Real Estate Board reported, and the supply of new listings rose for the first time in 2010.
